BioI'm a Lyricist-Bookwriter, a graduate of New York University, Tisch School of the Arts, Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program.
Grew up in small-town Johnstown, PA, where I was the lead trumpeter in the marching band from 7th grade to 12th grade. (In seventh grade, I was the only trumpeter, and somewhat of a mascot of the band.) After high school, I moved to the theatre-fine-arts hub that was West Virginia, and went to school for Theatre Arts-Acting. Graduated with Distinction, Cum Laude, in 2005.
Took a year off, because the day of my graduation, my father was diagnosed with cancer, and died three months to the day after I graduated. During my time off, one fateful rainy evening in September, I was surfing the web, idly watching the Addams Family, when Gomez Adams was doting on his wife, and he said, "Ahh, Tish. . . Tish. . . " . . . . . Tisch? I found the GMTWP, applied, got called to applicants weekend, with NO lyric writing in my past whatsoever, and I got accepted.
